I don't know, however, phosporic acid (found in Coke) is supposed to be bad but there's someone else ages on ago on this forum that I read, carries the phosphoric acid around with them and it takes the pain of passing a kidney stone away so quickly that it prevents them from having to go to hospital. It may be like the old thought that eating eggs causes bad cholosterol and you shouldn't eat them, now we no this is not true and may infact reduce cholesterol. Sorry I can't answer your question any better.
