Given that you are a PCT, you may be biased toward conventional medicine. I work in intensive care, but have become less of a believer in the status quo of medicine. Finding a really good doctor that also practices nutrition may be the key to much better health than just sticking to a doctor you like or heard good things about. Forgive me if I'm shunning conventional medicine, but drugs do not cure. I had a cyst on my finger once, conventional medicine cut it out. Conventional medicine does offer a lot of good, but Antibiotics should only be used in life-threatening conditions after my horrid experience, in my opinion. And no, you don't have to finish what the doctor ordered, that's blind faith if the "medicine" feels like it's killing you, unless death is the side-effect.
