Well, unfortunately I cannot answer the original poster's question either, but the first replier's comment about anxiety with the pain perked my interest. I was diagnosed 10 days ago with diverticulitis in the ER. I never had pain, only the inability to urinate, bloating, nausea and feeling like I was going to black out. Just finished course of Cipro and Flagyl. But to get to my point, when the bloating/burning flares up from day to day my anxiety level really goes through the roof. I thought it was just from being worried that it was about to get worse again. I wonder if there's a different correlation though? I hate this thing. I'm wondering when the bloating/burning episodes will go away.
