If parasites are caused by chemical poisoning, how did all those people who were deworming themselves routinely in ancient times, in all parts of the world, get their worms in the first place? For just 2 examples, I don't think there were any factories manufacturing chemicals in the middle east in the days of the bible, nor in the western world in the 16th century.

As a matter of fact, I read that in the Orient, since time immemorial, they cooked all their food, never ate anything raw, because they figured out early on that raw food contained parasite eggs. To this day, I don't think you'll find anything raw in a Chinese restaurant. How can anyone say that diet is not a factor.

Chemicals do indeed slow liver function, but not only chemicals. Stuffing yourself with carbs, no matter how pure or organically grown, will do the same thing. It may take longer but eventually you'll produce a sludge-laden, toxic liver.
