I have a surplus of fresh bloodroot that I'd like to share with the forum community this fall, preferably in small lots (1 pound or so) to make sure there is enough to go around. Let me know if your intent is to replant, or to use for medicinal purposes so I can sort the roots prior to shipping. Plants will be shipped bareroot, unwashed. No charge for these roots other than postage reimbursement.
Bloodroot requires shade, and is native to the eastern woodlands of the USA. It also sports one of the earliest spring flowers to appear in the woodlands.
I also have mayapple and black cohosh rootlets available to compliment a shade garden. Again, no cost for these plants other than postage reimbursement.
Contact me if interested in obtaining a few shade-loving woodland plants, either for rootstock, or for tinctureing and salving.
