Hv, I've often wondered if these ropes of supposed mucoid plaque, that people have refered to, or have passed, might not be excess mucus production, caused by irritating the villi and mucus lining of the intestine. Or possibly stripping away this mucus lining with strong alkaline or acid substances, or other drugs. I have seen this stripping of mucus lining in the bodies of people who have been on long term NSAID treatment, in these people the stomach , intestine and colon, were often ulcerated as well.

What are your thoughts on this?
