I think you are right about the time coming when one "knows" one must live healthy or decline. When I stopped eating meat, it wasn't intentional -- I was just planning a five-day Kidney flush/cleanse. But after five days of no meat and three days of only juice, I just didn't feel like eating meat again. I don't think I'd have been able to just say (before), "I won't eat any more meat" and stick to it. This way, it just snuck up on me and I haven't even missed the meat, of which I was a huge devotee, only last early Spring. Thoughts of bovine growth hormone, steroids, Antibiotics , and (now) Blue Plastic™ converged to make the consumption of meat unappealing.

If someone wants to eat meat, at the very least, try paying the Amish to raise and butcher a cow for you. I don't think they use that blue plastic LOL.

That said, I still don't agree that people can live truly healthy on vegetation alone. I am especially worried about the dental angle. But for now, I will abstain.
