I have had unusually high mucus production in my sinuses since childhood. I have cured my allergies, but mucus persists ( I am aware of the types of foods that cause mucus). My mouth is often dry, which exacerbates the issue. I have oil pulled in the past, but have been doing it religiously for several weeks now. My regiment is as follows: wake up, oil pull, clean mouth/neti pot, gargle silver. When I oil pull lot of mucus is drawn out of my sinuses and I can spit it out. I have been noticing chunks that come out that are extremely hard with an extremely pungent odor (gross I know). I am curious what exactly this is, as I am certain it is the source of my bad breath and/or acne? The oil-pulling is definitely working, but I would really like to knock the mucus out for good. Sweet breath is a dream of mine. I am really not interested in any type of cleanse at the moment, as I truly cannot spare the extra weight. Any ideas?
