Some people jsut don't learn. I am not going to post the whole post I am responding to due to length. So I will focus on a few key points.
"Excess parathyroid hormone can be produced for a variety of reasons. In some cases, parathyroid hormone is produced without regard to the calcium levels. This is called "primary hyperparathyroidism" and is caused by enlargement of one or more of the parathyroid glands. It is a common disorder affecting about 1 in 1,000 people. The high levels of calcium and parathyroid hormone affect several body systems, including the skeletal, gastrointestinal, renal, muscular, and central nervous system."
It is the high parathyroid levels that lead to the high calcium. This is why it is called hyperparathyroidism, because the parathyroids are overactive and thus releasing TOO MUCH parathyroid hormone (PTH). PTH in turn releases calcium from the bones leading to EXCESSIVE serum calcium levels. This is why patients with hyperparathyroidism are told to AVOID calcium. But we have someone on these boards with no idea of how the body works or about real science telling people to take more calcium for all diseases including hyperparathyroidism.
"The pituitary gland is a pea-sized endocrine gland located at the base of the brain. The pituitary regulates and controls the secretion of hormones from other endocrine glands, which in turn regulate many body processes."
This is partially true. There are exceptions such as the hypothalamus, which produces thyroid releasing hormone (TRH), which in turn tells the pituitary to produce thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), which in turn tells the thyroid to produce T4..... If you studied how the body really works then you would learn these things.
"What many may not understand is that because of this Loop-feed back system, when we Fail to supply our bodys with the needed Alkaline Minerals, which include Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium etc in a Live Carbon Complex, one or the other of these Endocrine Glands may begin to become Sick and Diseased!"
There is that big "may" that leaves an opening for misinformation to be twisted to make it sound truthful. The truth is that there are a number of things that can cause endrocine disorders such as heredity, infection, trauma, shock.........
"Where the problem may arise from any Excess Alkaline Minerals may come when we Fail to supply these Alkaline Minerals in a Live Carbon form!
As I have repeatedly stated any Single Element and or Isotope form we choose to ingest may Cause problems in our body!"
There is all those "may" words again. Having to say "may" so often points to the claim not likely being true since it is never stated as fact. Stating a fact is like saying taking extra calcium with hyperparathyroidism is stupid!!! Or taking black strap molasses when you have hemochromotosis is even more stupid!!! See, those are examples of statements of fact rather than hypothetical conjecture.
Bottom line is that taking calcium hydroxide, or kelp that is also calcium rich, when one has primary hyperparathyroidism is foolish. And anyone recommending such foolishness is a quack!!!!
Symptoms of hyperparathyroidism:

Remember that the majority of these symptoms are caused from the serum calcium being too high. Adding more calcium is therefore ludicrous. The problem needs to be addressed so the body can regulate its calcium like it is supposed to. A person should not increase the stress on the endocrine system and organs by increasing serum calcium even further.
