To be quite honest, I was taken back by your own, and other individual posts in response to you, and those written amongst themselves. To be clear, NOT the initial post of yours here in this forum that Wombat copied into her initial post. I had no idea at that point who the post referred to. I suspect most people reading in this forum would not have. I have limited time, and for the most part only read the posts I responded too... with a VERY few others scanned to get the jest of it all.

And I have never followed nor read more than once or twice the individual referenced... no interest. I do however know that several have established emotional ties and apparent friendship to this individual judging by the many posts and the turmoil.

Defending the individual seemed to be the crux of it all...

I am still grateful for the exposure of the post here, as I initially stated, as it illustrates to others the very real need for moderation... use enough, but not too much. That should go without saying for anything. Whether the individual's trials are a direct result of the iodine use or not... in cases like these, at minimum, it was a contributing factor IMO.

You know I have little problem with elemental iodine, I went through a run with it myself for quite a while... however I do favor the use of magnascent, and the Cayce or Jarvis (Jarvis uses a few drops of Lugol's per week) methods when "needed" over what is being done there, UNLESS there is a clear medical reason, AND one is under the care of a well versed iodine protocol doctor, OR, if they are choosing to be their own doctor, exercise full personal responsibility and common sense, which honestly, I believe most people lack when it comes to things like this.

I know your views on this, so do most others; you do not have to reply with why you believe iodine is Poison in this form... I both agree with you when it is used medically unsupervised in large doses without valid reason, personal responsibility and common sense , and agree with "them" when used as I stated in the above paragraph with the Jarvis or Cayce methods for the following reasons...

Given and understanding the exposure to, and issues with, fluoride, and bromide, I can certainly understand why one would want to at minimum match possible exposure to these other halogens with at least an equal amount of iodine...

If one is avoiding these other competing halogens, the amount needed should be reasonable... perhaps in the single digit mg amounts at most dependent upon exposure.

Of course I do believe, and agree with you, that high quality seaweeds are the best source and best utilized for this purpose... with again the exceptions of the Cayce and Jarvis methods when necessary.

As I have stated, I do not and did not read all of the posts... so I am unaware that anyone did any condemning of anyone... initially. There appeared to be a great deal of finger pointing, blaming, and name calling along with accusations going back and forth on both sides of the argument in the posts I did read.

This is NOT in reference to who condemned who, who blamed who, or who did what first (threw the first stone), however it is obvious that the thread in the Webmaster Support Forum, now in the Personal Conflicts forum would have never existed without Wombat's initial response to your post here in your forum... IMO an over reaction on her part... and in hindsight, perhaps a mistake... if she had left it alone, this likely would not have gone beyond the few dozen at most, that read your initial post in this forum.

As it stands, well over 150 seem to have gotten wind of this and riled up to one extent or another.

Isolated to those that read your posts only... most here, would likely have not been the wiser on who it referred to... I wouldn't have known... now, likely everyone does.

But then neither would the thread exist in its current form without your input either... a mistake on your part IMO... both "sides" made mistakes in posting IMO... including myself.

If I had known initially who your post, and then Wombat's post was referring to, I may have better understood Wombat's post given their friendship and would have not responded at all, avoiding my mistake. If I had known who it was about, and a bit of the whole story, I likely would not have gotten involved... even if it was clearly a matter of overindulgence in elemental iodine.

The thread clearly got out of hand as everyone slid into an uncontrollable emotional and rather irrational tirade... each thinking their irrational thoughts correct.

Each post feeding the next, like so much manure to maggots... eggs being laid and then hatching to eat the manure.

I answered as best and as clearly as I could given what I have read and know at this point.

To be honest, I am not going to read anything else in that thread... or anything that looks like it may refer to it... I can only imagine several people (knowing them and their histories here) running to authority (Dushan or a site moderator) to try and get someone into further trouble, banned or banished entirely... and feel better off not knowing and leaving it alone. It is anything but productive.

I will not reply further to this thread. Please accept this as my answer to your questions without further question here.
