I just read several articles stating that agave nectar should not be used during pregnancy. I am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant and have been using it about twice a day in green smoothies. I am a little worried now since I read several places that it could probably cause birth defects and/or miscarriages. Do you have any information on this? I will stop using it until I hear otherwise and can get some definite information. I hope I haven't already caused some harm if it truly can cause birth defects. Thanks for any help!
