I am a deout atheist and I often find it hard to understand why other people believe in God. I honestly consider it extremely foolish, given all the evidence, to still believe in the Bible. Thus, I'd like to start a debate on precisely WHY people believe in the Bible.

FIRST STATEMENT: I think it's because people never question the beliefs they were raised with. Which says something about human nature, let me tell you.
