I was taking Iodine for about a month and stopped because my urine had gone from a normal yellow color to clear and smelling strongly of ammonia. The ammonia I figured was a detox reaction, but the colorlessness of the urine was worrisome. I was feeling good overall, with no fatigue or loss of energy - surprising since I have adrenal fatigue. Also I was no longer bothered by cigarette smoke. Having MCS, this rocked.

I've been off Iodine for two weeks now and my urine is slowly turning yellow again but still reeks of ammonia. Sometimes I wake up in the morning with the faint taste of urea in my mouth.

Any clues on what might be happening, if the ammonia/urea thing is good or not?
