What are the chances that a duodenal ulcer diagnosed over 30 years ago and treated with only Tagamet could have left this bacteria to slowly wreak the kind of havoc I have experienced as a nightmare of symptomology over the last several years?

If you can rule out other possible causes such as the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as the cause of the ulcer then I would say pretty good.

Have you had any tests to confirm H. pylori infection?
