i would have to agree, steroid creams or ointments screw up your skin. For certain things they help, and it may be important to bring the inflamation down sometimes. But, what steroid ointments do is prevent your immune system from making the inflammation, which in it self is not good. I used desonide or desonate for a little while but i stopped using it because it looked all greasy and sort of felt weird puting on my skin. Than i was given protopic which is a non steroid ointment. Little results, they told me to use it for two weeks at the corner of my lips but i decided not to use it. How is some ointment going to stop the inflammation from happeneing? Wouldnt it just come back? i need to find the root problem which presented it self really all of a sudden since this all started happening a short time ago. Does anybody think protopic is not good to use on you skin?
