Finally i have located the source of my bad breath to candida, mainly candida albicans. I have had BB for about 6 years and always had a white/yellow layer on my tongue. My breath always had a fetid odor to it and i could easily stink up a room very fast. Over the years the smell got worse and even though my oral hygiene was perfect i still had very bad breath. It has only been about 3 weeks since i started using a mouthwash called corsodyl, after the first use, the smell and white layer that has always been on the back of my tongue disappeared, i thought, this happens with most mouthwashes and was expecting it to be back 30 minutes later. To my suprise though the smell and white layer never came back, in fact it hasnt come back since (only comes back when i dont use corsodyl for 3 days). I also had some white patches on the roof of my mouth which incidentally developed around 6 years ago when my BB started, bastard dentist told me it was only 'natural' pigmentation of the skin. These patches have started to disappear and the natural pink has started to come through in the roof of my mouth.

My BB has almost gone but i still get it when i swallow mucous or have a lot of mucous at the back of my throat. I think my mucous is what was infected and transferred the bacteria to my tongue which in turn produced the fetid smell. I need to get rid of this infection within the mucous since when i swallow mucous i get a really bad odor.

I noticed Corsodyl main element is Chlorhexidine digluconate which has been laboratory tested to eliminate candida albicans 100%. This is why i think my BB is from candida since corsodyl is the only thing that has stopped my BB.

Now i need to get onto trying to eliminate candida from my diet and especially mucous. Any ideas?

Those who either have a white layer or fetid odor should try corsodyl and if any improvement is made then candida is most likely the cause for your bad breath. If people can use corsodyl and report the results here then it would save others spending money on useless products when candida is the actual cause of their misery.
