hi! i got a question about add/adhd. ever since i was a kid, i've always had problems in academics. my teachers have complained for years that i'm too slow for learning the material and i get frustrated 2 easily then give up. also, my teachers would complain that my grades were bad sometimes good.

studying was bad for me, i have a very short attention span and i would study for 5 mins then i was done. i got bored very very quickly. when it comes to explaining something to me, u would have to explain it a few times b4 i could understand how to do it. my listening skills wasn't good, like i would hear what u say then say tell me again. my attention span would come in and go out.

academics was a big struggle for me, i didnt wanna practice anything if i couldn't see it once then do it. i grew up unmotivated, my parents basically belittled my motivation to the point i didn't wanna do anything. they were never there for me at all and nothing i did was ever good.

my teacher one time wanted to put me in a special class in school but had no interest in testing my learning. one time in high school, a teacher was gonna have a counselor test my learning but she didn't even bother helping me anymore.

ive asked my college if they can test for learning probs they said no but gave me a list of numbers. im thinking thats costly when i can get it done for free at a school but they dont offer something like that.

ive always had problems with reading the material and recite what i learn, i always looked stupid in class. giving presentations about somethin i was passionate in looked like i didn't know what i was talking about. explaining things in great detail was very hard to do or someone asking me a challenging question, i've always dodged it. explaining things, i explain things at the end, middle, and beginning - it wasn't in sequential order.

does this sound like a case of add/adhd? i am not taking any thing for it but have been researching what can i do. if anyone has any ideas for increasing cognitive function and all that let me know.
