Hi Rainy,
I do not believe that the flu-shot will not become mandatory within the UK, although I can't speak for the US, but the best way to avoid the flu (of any kind) whether seasonal flu or the so called swine-flu is to take at least 10,000 ius of supplemental Vitamin D3 on a daily basis.

If the shot becomes compulsory in the States and you have no option other than this you would be right in thinking a water-only-fast conducted according to thirst (and thirst only) will negate its toxicity and the damage it will cause.

The other way in avoiding the flu is to have a strong immune system coupled with a toxemic-free body, and then no virus of any description will take hold, or have any effect on the body whatsoever.
You therefore have two guns in your arsenal, and at your disposal, against this effrontery to your health-freedom/liberty, and the potential "Nazi" approach by your Countries authorities.
