Hi Melody! I'm not sure about adding malic acid or ortho- to your AJ. So far I haven't come across people adding those to their regime. Apples and apple juice have plenty of malic acid in them, apparently. Someone else might know more on this subject...but I know that people have had good results without using those extras!
