ascaris, also known as roundworm, is something else to look into.

One reason why something may help you for a short time and then no longer help you is because whatever pathogens is infecting you is intelligently adapting to whatever you throw at it. So at first it may have an effect on it, but then it changes and adapts so that the substance is no longer harming it. This is what bacteria/amoeba/viruses do to survive. This is why pharmaceutical Antibiotics are becoming less and less effective
