I have to disagree with you. Out of interest I did quite a bit of looking on the net last night as I didn't have any herbal books at the ready and found quite the opposite.

Eastern medicine has used the herb widely with great response during pregnancy. Western medicine however labels almost every herb as bad or a danger, pregnant or not. Before we had doctors and medicine in the sense that we know it, people used herbs in their pure forms with outstanding results.

Modern medicine doesn't make money off of herbal remedies. If you knew there was a cure for AIDS or cancer that didn't require AZT or chemotherapy would you take the medicine your doctor prescribed or have harmful chemicals purposefully injected into your body to kill your immune system? Of course not and the Big Pharms know this. They are in this for money so anything that is good for you is labeled bad for you even when it's been used for centuries.

For me the bottom line is that I trust Uny so if she says it is safe to take, I would take it if I were pregnant and needed it, Uny is more than capable of debunking any uncertainty around this herb.
