Honestly, I wouldn't want to find out through MD's- because then they would also insist that you have to be on the long-term Antibiotic treatments, which not only cause more problems with the candida etc, but from what alot of people say too, the Antibiotic treatments cause them to go into "cyst form", and hide from the immune system, only to re-emerge stronger than ever later.
I suspect my father has this stuff going on too--and I asked him recently if he would go with me to have the muscle testing done for it. Maybe I have to agree with him on this..he said "at my age..maybe it's better to not find out :)
I am going to have to be taking him to a VA hospital for endocrine testing soon though. I didn't realize that when they gave him the shot to "shut off his testosterone" prior to brachyradiation treatments for prostate cancer- that the hypothalmus/pituitary (gonads) would be what was affected..which affects the thyroid and adrenals too. The saliva tests he had done through the ND, came back as him being in Adrenal Exhaustion, not just adrenal fatigue- and now doing further follow up tests with the Nurse Practitioner VA guy that actually listens and looks stuff up- his glands are in pretty bad shape.
I probably will never know for sure, but in my inner most being, I suspect Lyme coinfections/epstein barr and viruses with him too. This same Nurse practitioner is one that finally did think to test for EBV for one of the causes of my chronic liver stuff- and it was found.
Biofeedback testing has been very accurate in finding alot of this stuff. I wouldn't personally go through an MD again- especially not after the $30,000 that was already spent in trying to find out answers through them. I would have died had I continued that route.
