Personally using a toothbrush to scrub the surface of your skin on the lips is more harmful then good.

It cause more damage on the epidermis and can lead to worse healing. I would suggest warm water (small amount) siccors to remove dead flaky skin (definitely not peeling - NO WAY !)

Constant applying of vasaline and multivitimin tablets.
