I believe that what you are experiencing is tonsilloliths, commonly called tonsil stones. I have recently encountered this same thing, and had never in my life had this until I started to do cleansing. There is much information about this on the internet. I did a search at www.google.com and found lots to read about tonsil stones. Hope this helps.
