I'm surprised this one hasn't been talked about here yet! Was just hoping you could give me+ readers some insight on the problem we all know as dandruff, itchy scalp etc.

I've been suffering on and off with it for a few years now I'd say, and I seem to have hit an all time 'chronicness' which can only be controlled by washing the hair scalp regularly. I would honestly love to be able to get away with not washing my hair and only rinsing it, but the itching gets just too intense at times. (you know that terrible poison ivy like itch that you could just scratch raw for a bit of relief...) I would describe it as an oily rather than dry scalp problem, which doesn't really 'flake' off by itself but it will collect under your finger nail after scratching for a bit.

I've read the different theories on the causes and whatnot, the one about the cells renewing/shedding themselves too quickly, the yeast/fungal link... I have tried the diluted vinegar rinse for ph regulation but that seemed to not do much of anything in my case. I am using a combo of totally 'natural' shampoos, one normal and one for the condition in question. Also tried the crushing a zinc tablet and using that with the shampoo trick. Only tried that once though and didn't continue as it offered no real immediate relief.

I have started taking bitters about 2/3 weeks ago mainly for skin/acne, and can say that I am noticing slow but steady improvement in skin health. (maybe placebo is also playing a role here though?) Though it hasn't really had any effect on my scalp.

Any ideas you can share? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. I think it's great that you have gotten your own forum here, you seem to really know your stuff. Thanks alot
