Sure, but let’s for a moment imagine this scenario:

A pathogen enters the body and triggers an immune reaction aka disease. After some back and forth battles the immune system gives up and the underlying disease takes hold without major symptoms since the immune system gave up. The only thing left are the emotional connection to this pathogenic blockage/disease.

To really simplify; emotional outbursts like fear, anger etc. become easier depending on the organ(s) involved. But in the Yin Yang theory an emotion can also trigger the flare up of a disease, so by becoming angry easier and allowing this to fester you trigger a flare up.

Now you get everyone and that includes the entire psycho babble department calling these flare ups as caused by stress or "unresolved" internal issues. On top of that they can show underlying physiological changes that occur when these emotions are triggered because there actually IS an underlying pathogen at cause which is triggered but missed in diagnosis.

It’s all in your mind…have some Prozac…
