Are you male or female? High prolactin in females is often associated with birthing and nursing. In men it is most often from a pituitary tumor, which is why they would want the scan.

Dopamine takes down prolactin provided there is not a pituitary tumor. Supplementation with tyrosine on an empty stomach 3 times daily will raise dopamine levels.
