i believe that toxicity can cover a lot wider area of hair problems than the medical profession would ever admit, or even think of.

i know that mine is somewhat related to toxins, because my hair starts to regrow/scalp itch disappears when i eat clean foods only. really weird, but it's a for sure thing as i've blind tested it probably 100 times now. i eat junk, especially Sugar and it itches insanely, stop eating junk it goes away. hopefully the liver flushing, blood alkalizing and anti fungals i'm taking will help in the next few months.
