Hi, everyone,

For around a little less than 3 years now, I've had what I believe to be a stress disorder or hypoadrenia. It all began in my 2006 Fall college semester. I had an extremely stressful time during that semester. After final exams were over, I was burnt-out. After this incident, I was experiencing symptoms of fatigue, sleepiness during the day, tingling in the arms and legs, shortness of breath, anxiety, stiff upper back, and a few others I can't remember. I thought the problem would go away by itself, but it didn't and in the fall of 2008, I saw my medical internal doctor. All my medical tests (i.e. blood, fasting blood, urine, etc.) were all normal and he didn't know what was wrong with me. I went to see an acupuncturist after that, but he wasn't able to help me either even though he did around 8 treatments on me. Finally, some months ago, I consulted with a nutritionist who told me I had 2nd stage adrenal fatigue and put me on a nutritional supplement plan of vitamin C and pantethine that should have put me back on my feet in 3 months. This plan did work great for the first month and cured more than half my symptoms, but I was still left with a few and they didn't clear up.

The few symptoms I'm left with is general muscle weakness and stiffness, trouble staying asleep, stiffness in my back when doing things like washing dishes and sitting on the floor cross-legged, hearing sensitivity, and a little shaking and brain fog when under physical or mental stress. I am running out of options and getting discouraged, but I'm currently seeing a chiropractor. He told me the nutritional supplement plan was only acting as a band-aid and that I needed 10 treatments done compared to the usual 2 or 3 that other people with similar conditions like mine had. I'm not sure why I'm an exception, but I suppose it's because of the length of time I've had my condition. Anyway, that's 1 treatment per week and I should be seeing improvements by the 6th one. I'm skeptical that these treatments will work because of my past unsuccessful experience with my doctor and acupuncturist. Also, I was surprised that he didn't take an xray first. My question to you all is have any of you had any success with a chiropractor with symptoms similar to mine? I'm seeing a chiropractor because I believe I may have spinal subluxation caused by studying at my desk for endless hours without taking a break for all 4 1/2 years of my college years. All those times I've spent at the desk have slowly affected my posture and I've been hunching forward. I'm a 23 year old male and need to start working to pay my student loans off, but unfortunately i can't do anything in the condition I'm in. I would really welcome any responses, thanks.
