The real ticket is to dine in. I
love cooking with a man who likes
to cook and also, my friends. Its a
habit I picked up from my mother
who would invite friends over to
cook.
However~~
When I was hardcore vegetarian and
ate no meat, it was VERY easy to
ask for a veggie plate and it was
usually a baked potato and some
broccoli.
If we were very lucky, we found a
vegetarian restaurant or juice bar.
A vegetarian restaurant is worth
looking for too. Online searches can
help you discover some neat little
dinner place ~ if you turn here, go
6 blocks and find it.
For picnics, places like Whole Foods
have a lot of choices in their food
bars that would suit your veggie tastes.
Eating with friends was not bad either.
You can find more veggie offerings out
there than ever before. If a salad
without the chicken looks good, ask that
the kitchen leave it off. It will become
easier with the practice of asking for
some considerations. People in general
really like to help. I find I still
like eating vegetarian. One of my more
favorite places is the New York Pizzeria.
They have a Greek pizza, suitable for a
veggie head, to live for. A slice with
a house salad is perfect~!
So, I hope you keep checking out places
to go and entrees to eat. You will be
surprised how well you can get along.
Do not forget Eggplant Parmesan~ yum~!
bon appetit,
Zoe
