Since we don't know for sure, thinking that there will definitely will be souls erased versus universal salvation is the same. It's what you want to believe and what you have been influenced to believe.

I choose to believe in universal salvation, though the fact of the matter is that no one knows for sure. Only God knows. Why don't you ask Him? ;)
