Much of the info in this article has been debunked. I know about that nurse in Canada story and it's been misrepresented by people who quote the story as proof of why we shouldn't use microwaves. Nurses are being discouraged from using microwaves to heat IV fluids. I wrap stuff in warm towels personally. Every microwave is different. Having said that, I almost never use one myself. It can't cook a piece of meat the same as an oven and boiling water in a microwave as opposed to a stove yields a different quality in my humble experience.
