Yes, it is strange and annoying that we can’t sometimes smell ourselves. There have only been two instance in which I have ever been able to smell myself, well sort of, as one of these instances used to occur often ( so I can‘t say only two), and this was when I was around smokers during my lunch hour at work. Somehow, the cigarette smoke would really bring out my odor, and to a point that it was noticeable to me. The other incident was when I was taking diet pills to loose weight. When I would go outside my house in the mornings to head off to work (after I‘ve showered, and put on clean clothing), I would smell what smelled like an open sewer, I noticed this smell for about a week, every morning. I had no idea it was coming from me. It seemed like the smell came form the air all around me.
