If you can get your hormone levels to approximate to "normal female" -- especially with regard to free testosterone -- electrolysis may eventually, after a year or two, give results that will be "permanent" as long as you manage to keep your testosterone levels within the "normal female" range.

However if, as with most women with facial hair problems, your free testosterone levels are well outwith the "normal female" range and well into the "normal male" range, neither electrolysis or any comparable treatment is going to permanently "solve" the factial hair "problem."

For myself, I'm content to accept that my natural testosterone levels fall within the range normally assoicated with males. It's simply part of who I am. So I shave. It simply isn't a problem to me any more. For half of that $500 you could have got a top-of-the-range Norelco (men's) electric shaver :-)
