I have a tendency to write books, especially when I've let things build up for a while.
Too often, we get so focused on one thing, and don't realize how something else is being affected, or also needs to be addressed too.
I have continued to read here regularly, and Dr Sutter really isn't around here much anymore. Had it not been for Dr Sutter 2 years ago, I doubt that I would have done any more liver flushes than the first two that I got SO sick with. I was seriously in bad shape, and was at the same point that Dr Sutter had found himself at. I knew I had to do something for myself, and get this figured out, or I was going to die. I think when my husband found me in the middle of the night of doing the flush, on the bathroom floor, twice, with it coming out both ends and deathly sick from liver flushing without knowing to first kill the parasites- he thought I WAS dying! But..even getting that sick, seeing one inch stones was pretty convincing.
Dr Sutter was who told me that my sick liver, was probably parasites, and most likely flukes. I got right up then from the computer, and went and took the Liver Dr- Sandra Cabot dewormer that I had bought for my daughter--and with just taking one- maybe two capsules that afternoon, the next morning, the toilet was full of flukes/parasites. I KNEW there was a reason for my sick liver--even if the last Dr I had been to just the week before that thought it was all in my head, and I thought I needed anti-depressants.
It made a big difference in first killing the parasites, and then doing the flush--and the coke in the mix makes a big difference in not getting nauseous/vomitting for me too.
Thankfully, I had also found the Alternative Dr at the same time, and was fortunate to have found one of the few that actually has experience with patients with parasites and other factors I found to also be involved along the way, because I would have been floundering in trying to figure out all the layers to this onion. Parasites were a big issue for me, and I was the worst infected he had ever worked with..but there's alot more to it that I've had to learn about too.
He won't even begin to work with people with candida unless they are also willing to go through these other clean-up's too. Bowel cleansing was the first thing he had me get started with (he's also got a Master's of Science in Traditional Chinese Med). The reason I started with him to begin with, was calling his office and actually talking to him directly right off the bat- and telling him how the Dr's had laughed me out of the office for mentioning the big, green stones I had gotten out of my liver. The same tweeked Coke flush is also part of his protocal for patients.
Melchezidek, you mentioned cream of tartar--I didn't do it the 21 days like his combination liver flush instructions are- but the first part of his combined flush, is to take the juice of 6 lemons, in a qt of water, with 3 TBS of cream of tartar, and 1 TB of epsom salts. Put it in the fridge, and drink a juice glass size before bedtime every night, for 3 weeks...
and then do the 90 drops of phos acid in 1 qt of apple cider for 3 days (or 120 drops in water if candida or diabetes is an issue),
it combines the Clark flush with the Coke flush in still using the Epsom salts... and then do the same amounts for the Coke flush that Dr. Sutter's instructions are- from the Biser flush cut in half.
One of the things I was glad I also did through the ND, was the "marker" blood tests, to chart my progress of how the Alternative stuff was working for me. I posted my 9 month progress report here after I had done nothing more than colon cleansing, killed a huge load of parasites, and was liver flushing regularly. My liver was not only what was in bad shape, but from the first marker blood test, my plugged up liver was also causing other significant problems. I have to get another copy of the blood test results, but the first test was showing liver damage still going on, with the chronically elevated liver enzymes (this was one full year after gallbladder surgery too), and my cholestrol and triglycerides were above reference range too. The 2nd marker test, showed liver enzymes had finally come down to within normal range, but-
The most significant changes were:
>>>C reactive protein way down- from being over the high end of 3.0 down to .58. Fibrinogen was a big improvement- from being over the high end past 423 down to the normal range of 274. (193-423 scale)
Indicators of what I had been headed towards. Heart attack or stroke. 48 years old. Non-smoker, non-drinker, no drugs- including aspirin or anything, athletic most of my life/active.
But, piecing the puzzle together, alot of different factors in the immune system/sick liver.
I also still have a mouth mess. And, there's no way of getting cleaned up of about all of this stuff and healed without addressing the toxins/heavy metals issues too. I remember my mother saying I had to have 17 fillings as a kid (amalgams, of course). One of the reasons I'm saying that this is still going to be a long process yet to come, is because I have 6 crowns over those amalgams, with teeth that are cracked/broken under the crowns. If/when I do get to the biological dentist (closest one is 4 hours from here), he probably will see dollar signs and want to do the clean-up- but I'm still looking more at what the cracked teeth underneath have under neath them too- and would push for the teeth with the crowns to be removed.
One of the main hiding places for different lyme coinfections, is the jaw/gums. Hidden infections are going to affect the rest of the body, including an already beaten up liver.
Can you clean up candida without addressing the metals/toxins?
That's all part of the other clean up stuff the ND was talking about that patients have to be willing to also work on. From what I've learned about Lyme coinfections, all these things live together with these metals/toxins. Alot of what I've found that die off/herxing has going on- is not just parasites dying--it's from when the parasites are dying, the metals/toxins they've also got collected around them are also being released. Killing Lyme, causes a mercury dump. Killing the large intestinal fluke (F. Buski) causes a big Lead dump. I know Lead is a big issue for me. It was found to be extremely high in a metals urine test. Probably has been for a long time, because of where I grew up in an old mining town with exposed slag dumps in the middle of the town. It was the biggest producer of Lead, and silver in it's heyday, in the 1800's.
I seriously think the best place to read/learn about the mycotoxins/fungal stuff, is from watching the Doug Kaufmann show (or listening to it on his website)- or reading his books that can also be found on his website. One of the most important parts of it, is not just taking the herbs and stuff to kill the candida- but also learning what foods make it worse, and staying away from the foods that are also known to have mold spores. Patulin is high in apple juice, and found in many other fruits/vegetables (mainly in the skins and dark spots). Alot of times, what we think we are feeding our kids (and ourselves) that is supposed to be healthy- is full of mold spores we aren't aware of.

The Mayo Clinic just put out information that 1 in 100 people in the US have celiac, unknowingly. I have celiac, found in an endoscopy prior to the gallbladder surgery. I wonder now, if people are having the autoimmune reaction and getting the small intestine damage from the grains/gluten because of the molds known to be in the grains.
