No, I haven't heard any direct, immediate results of less facial hair because of drinking Essiac tea. I have heard many testimonials of actually having the natural color come back, and also people who had their hair start growing on their head.

But the principle behind it, that I can see, would be that since it is detoxing the body, and since a toxic liver has problems breaking down excess estrogen (also excess estrogen due to an abundance of phytoestrogens which many health conscious people are getting from tofu and soy milk, etc.), then hormone balances would be benefitted/possibly corrected over time.

Essiac is very gentle, and has been reported by MANY to assist in overcoming cancer, help shrink tumors/cysts, etc. There is a website http://www.herbalhealer.com - look at the testimonials Naturopath Marijah McCain has there re 4 Herb Tea (generic Essiac). You can google "essiac" and come up with a lot of stuff also. Many books have been written about Canadian nurse Renee Caisse and her 50 year research with this Native American formula. The Respirin Co. finally bought her formula before she died, but later a California chiropractor went to Canada and interviewed some of her close friends (some being former cancer victims that the medical system deemed imminently terminal and hopeless, but Renee helped and then outlived Renee!!). One of the friends anonymously gave the chiropractor the formula and he made it public for general knowledge. It's a very long story, but one that shows that cancer is big business and the PTB (powers that be) tried to shut her down as they do much of the time (as with Stevia).

I think that anything that will help to detoxify the body will assist in normalizing the hormones - and it's the hormones that cause facial hair growth in women.

That's my theory that I am postulating, neither based upon any scientific research that I directly know of nor anecdotal evidence....just conjecture here!
