I don't know about the vinegar (needs testing), but I can confirm that alcohol *definitely* creates a flare-up within a day or two for me. Is it what actually creates the rashes? I don't know (also needs testing), but it definitely makes things much worse, so I avoid it like the plague.

If you haven't already, look into the effects of cortisol on SD. I think it might be the key.

I need to experiment with pickles and vinegar now. . . .
