What would be helpful for other people to know is what sort of growth you had before you got the laser treatments, how often you were removing it and by what means.

What are you using now?

Laser is no cure-all. It can work for some people with very light skin and a light growth of very dark hair.

But a heavy hormonally-driven growth of coarse hair is something that it often has little long-term effect on. As a rule of thumb (which can, of course, be wrong) if you've got enough growth of coarse facial hair to have to remove it a couple of times a week, don't expect too much from any "permanent" hair removal method.

The way I look at it is, why spend a lifetime worrying about facial hair? Shaving it takes me less than a minute a day and I really don't have to worry about it at all. I could have spent the last 35 years looking for a "cure" -- and I've no doubt I'd still be looking for one. Some women just happen to have the same sort of facial hair most men have. We wouldn't have chosen to have it, but it's a reality. And for me, shaving's proved painless, simple and hassle-free.
