Michael Badnarik recommends that memorizing the Bill of Rights along with the Articles of the Constitution is extremely important. One must know what their rights are in order to know if they have been violated. Then you can enter into court or confront a police officer with questions that force them to honor their oaths of office. He also highly suggest reading The Republic: The House That Nobody Lives In. You can find it here: http://www.freedom-school.com/history/usa.htm

There is more out there but this will get you started.

From my take, the early sovereignty movement has had a few twists and turns, some down dead end streets and cul de sacs.
In the 90's some began selling books on how to avoid or get out of paying income tax. Many of the arguments used had claimed the income tax was unconstitutional. When people ended up in court and used these arguments, the courts labeled these arguments frivolous. And those people were labeled "tax protesters" winding up with stiff fines and jail time. From this the media labeled those that sold such books as "Patriots for Profit". The only guy that seemed to make the best sense to me was a man named Otto Skinner. Others may disagree.

Some of these patriots that were protesting the income tax were quite religious Christians. For instance, Roger Elvick and Hartford Van Dyke and others used Christian scripture in developing what would later be called the Commercial Redemption Process. This is where the birth certificate 'strawman' concept was based. Most everyone of these guys ended up in the slammer on several counts for life sentences.

From out of this came several groups that have developed an Administrative Remedy process. The basis of this is the history of America as a bankrupt corporation owned by the British Monarchy/International Banking Cartel. The IMF is where all income tax collections end up. The IRS is supposed a corporation based in Puerto Rico. The Office of Homeland Security now administers the Bankruptcy. USA REPUBLID: The House that Nobody Lives In seems to be the best to document this with explanation of the supporting documentation. I am still wading through this site - there is a lot there.

There is quite a number of site that you can find out information that will take a lot of time to sift through. M
