The pill upsets your natural production of estrogen (your body recognises the artificial supply from the pill and tends to shut down its own production which was probably more effective at suppression of facial hair.

You're probably seeing more hair as the reduced levels of naturally produced estrogen are allowing your testosterone to stimulate the hair on your chin. Trimming or shaving it won't affect the rate of growth at all. If you want to remove the hair from your chin it's the least invasive way.

Your electrologist is right about plucking distorting the hair follicles.
