Great post, Gina. Thanks a zil. Need to peruse the links more and put some time into examining your final suggestions. Tell me:

>>(3) "Your ultrasound shows definite structural abnormalities in your thyroid gland." This is what my doctor said to me and I got a little scared, but everything corrected just fine.

How did you "correct" things? Can you get specific? I hardly eat - so it's difficult to imagine my diet has caused this. Perhaps the lack of any real diet has. I tend to agree with V :

>> pituitary is working fine as it has cut its output signal of tsh so that thyroid doesn't make any more t3, t4. I would venture a guess that if you stop taking Iodine everything would tend towards normalcy.

I'm also inclined to agree with/believe:

>>"Certain circumstances, including stress, trauma, medications, infections, and temperature fluctuations change the amount of thyroid hormone required by the body."

Big thanks.
