Well couple of things, my problem started when I was around 17, after a period of stress which caused me to stop having a period - and this may have some similarity to being on BCP's. Just a thought....

Qns...I am causcasian and have fair skin, yep and am overweight :-( I'm now in my 30's and my hair growth had gotten progressively worse but still most people would not know I plucked - at least I hope, I am still self conscious discussing this problem.

If you're taking the BCP's for birth control and not for your fuzz, and you're not worried about normal risks that manufacturers put on the inserts, I'd probably keep taking them just cause they are usually pretty effective compared to other methods - I don't know, their are other factors to consider. However, it's my belief that you can reverse any hairy ill-effects of BCP's by taking NAC and R-lipoic acid - BUT, I wouldn't take these while on the BCP's as they might reduce their effectiveness.

I'm coming to the belief that many of these hormonal skin problems have their origin in the liver (and BCP's affect the liver), through my own experience with the NAC and through what I've read. Time will tell and I hope to learn more about it. Hope to do a Liver Flush soon and see what effect that has on my skin, it worked great for my husband.
