I remember the Hulda Clark interview saying it is found in carrot skin, and cooking it doesn't kill it. Using a paring knife to peel vegetables/fruits with, the way grandma used to do it, is the best way to get rid of it And cut out any brown/soft spots.
Someone told me that before. :)

Neosartorya fischeri has also been cited as a verruculogen producer. The latter fungus species is also termoresistant and may survive heat treatment during vegetable and fruit processing.
