I swelled from mag/citrate too. I became very flacid feeling everywhere and could hardly move my legs to walk. It was nasty. The skin was all striated and felt like it would bust open. Anyway, I don't know why, these sound like good suggestions above. But when I had it I just took some calcium citrate and it worked like a charm. The water just started coming off. I sat on the toilet what seemed like for hours from all the fluid. Guess I needed calcium. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
