Uny, I'm so glad that you add that to IP (along with the h2o2 bath and other things). IMHO, fat is the big missing link in IP, esp for the *underweights* going on a long-term fast.
The oil rub is actually important when the digestive system is weak. Rotation and variety is also important.
I'm truly "OILY". Here’re my oil rituals….
Castor Oil
I did the Castor Oil VEST religiously for 3+weeks. I just soaked a tight vest with oil. Make 3 holes in a transparent (white/black ones stinks when heat is applied) garbage bag and go to town with it. It literally melted my MP without IF#1. I purged out tons of dried up dates, chains of balls, rubber tires, you name it. Castor oil pack is probably the safest decongestant around. I haven’t been that faithful once I got back on IF#1.
I keep a bottle at the bed side table. When I get a cramp at nite, I poured some on the area, it usually goes away. In severe cases, the cramped up area doesn’t want to be touched, then I’d spray some Magnesium oil (see below).
Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil
Needless to say. The single most important oil. I’m not going to repeat its benefits and usage.
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
I rub this after every shower and whenever needed. I basically use it like a body lotion. Unlike the other oil, I found that coconut oil is easily absorbed by the skin and it smells great. I tried rubbing the other oil, it just feels so heavy and messes up your clothes and bed sheets.
I also eat this with honey or by itself while fasting. It’s also a great oil puller. I found myself not needing it as much these days. So, I take more of the sesame oil instead.
Jojoba Oil
I use this as a sunscreen. So, I rub this before I sunbath or when I go barefoot.
Wheat Germ Oil
I take it with ACV before going to sleep. I found it vey similar to the jojoba oil.
Sesame Oil
I oil pull with the expeller-pressed version and eat the cold-pressed version. Or, take it before bed. It’s on a rotation plan along with the wheat germ oil and coconut oil.
Flax Oil
I use this in my salad. Make sure you buy from the fridge section and get the smallest bottle. Check the bottle date as well. I can usually get the one bottled within the month, sometimes even less than 2wks.
Magnesium Oil
I spray it before my bath and use it in my bath as well. Also, works well for cramps. I keep one spray bottle on my bedside table.
Deep Tissue Massage Oil
Spot treatment on those nasty, achy, broken body parts. Also, great for headaches, nauseousness, etc.
