It could be from a number of things. Edema naturally travels towards the ground. Because of not being able to move your knee and the fluid collecting around it I would suggest to go to a doctor. Constant edema can be a sign of malnutrition or organ issues. It could be a roaming blood clot too.(very dangerous)
