boy, we have certainly found a lot of common agreements, and I'm a little more encouraged that you do not have the truely blind faith that I thought you did before. So I won't go to the numerous issues we agreed on, What fun would that be?
So I'll go right to the controversial ones. I am a man, so I will never be faced with the choice of abortion. You of course, are correct when you talk about what a tough proceedure this is. I have talked to woman that have had them or thought about it. One of my friends told me that she had it, and would like to be there for any other woman who is considering one. Not to talk them out of it, but to make sure she knows what she is in for.
Another woman I talked to walked up to the clinic, and said she just could not do it. She did say however, that if abortion was illegal, she would have gone to an underground doctor and would have probably been forced to go through with it.
Although both these woman chose different routes, they both said very strongly, that they want this proceedure kept legal and safe.
I strongly support your right to not pay for somthing you find offensive, so I back you that your tax dollars should not fund this, and I think it is noble to educate woman thinking of this choice about all the consequences, But I whole heartidly believe
this proceedure should be kept legal and safe, and yes, that is part of being free and George has no business taking that away because of his moral beliefs (I have listened for hours while people of the same reliegon argued this issue, both sides throwing out scriptures to back their views, bottom line, it's a personal choice, not a government one)
Abstinance is a good thing to teach your kids as far as a preferred choice, but Abstinance only teaching is nothing but lying to kids. When you consistantly lie to kids and they figure it out, how in the world do you expect them to ever believe what you say. I think you have every right to keep your kids out of sex education classes (I disagree with you doing that, but it's your choice, they are your kids) Either way, it's not the government's job to teach your kids about sex. George trying to tell other governments what they have to teach about sex is not our government's responsibility.
Teaching kids that sex is the most awful thing in the world and that they are awful for it even crossing their minds, is so unnatural and damaging. Shrink's offices are loaded with patients who feel bad about themselves because their parents make sex a bad thing that only horrible people do. Again, it's not the government's job to take sides on this issue.
