NOW Foods sells sweet orange oil in 2, 4, 8 and 16 oz. Put a few drops in a dollop of shampoo when you bathe the dog. Leave the shampoo on for a few minutes to let the orange oil kill the fleas. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
For poison ivy rashes, the BEST remedy that I've found so far is jewelweed soap. I found it on the net, a lady actually makes the soap up herself. If you use the soap as soon as the rash appears, one time wash usually takes care of it. If it has been around a few days, repeated washings and good lathering of the soap is needed. BUT, it will clear the rash up. I've had two outbreaks so far this season and the soap has cleared them up. One rash, on my thigh was there for a couple of days and took a few days of washing to clear up. I have not had to go to the clinic to get prednisone, because the rash has spread. This is a first for me. Before I found jewelweed soap, I'd end up at the clinic with every outbreak. I'd usually get a couple every summer.

I bought 2 bars last summer and currently, my daughter is using one bar to clear up a rash that she got from her cat after he rolled around in the poison ivy. We ended up having to bathe the cat too. But her rash is clearing up and I've not had to take her to the clinic. It's good stuff. I've placed an order for more bars and bought the spray and salve to try.
I've also bought some jewelweed seeds and plan to germinate to have a ready supply of the stuff. I'm going to try my hand at making some salves, soap and tinctures.
