When My mother was bed bound a few years ago sheepskins were used.They are very thick and soft to lie on.You never see sheep with pressure sores do you? :-) Now adays you have those new big thick memory mattresses.They work better than those uncomfortable rubber electric matresses that rippled and made a lot of noise.

My mothers pressure sores healed up with Vitamin C 2mg and upwards a day.
