I think I was 45 when this happened to me. I felt like a ragdoll. My chiropractor helped me tremendously. He put me on an iron supplement for just a little while (since you can't be on those too long or you'll get an overdose.) The Gyno. finally did a D&C and I didn't have any more heavy long drawn out periods. About 2 years later I quit having periods alltogether. I have never taken any hormones at all. I have tried to have a positive and natural outlook about all of this and I watch what I eat and drink. I have minimized the stress in my life and that was a huge chang for me. A life change. I continue going to my chiropractor and continue listening to what my body may need in the way of supplements if I am not eating right. Leave out the Sugar and grains above all. Drink plenty of good water and relax. If you do have to do hormones please get natural ones. I understand that you need to do saliva testing (My gyno. had never heard of it and he laughs because I won't do Premarin) I have changed Dr's. There is a good site called Optimal Natural Health Lelani with some good advise and products. She is very good. That is where I would have gone if I had needed hormone testing.
